This Privacy Policy explains how Waggy World ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our website, WhatsApp-based services, and related pet healthcare, veterinary consultation, and insurance-facilitation services (collectively, the "Services"). This Policy is published in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 and Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, as applicable in India.
1. Information We Collect
- Identity and contact information: name, phone number, WhatsApp number, email address, city/address.
- Pet information: pet name, species, breed, date of birth/age, and health history you or your vet provide.
- Health-related information: symptoms, medical records, prescriptions, treatment notes, and vaccination/medical documents you upload — treated as sensitive personal data and processed with your explicit consent.
- Payment information: processed by our third-party payment processor (Razorpay); we do not store your full card, UPI, or bank details on our own servers.
- Communications: messages exchanged with our AI assistant, veterinarians, and support team over WhatsApp.
- Usage and device data: app/website interactions, log data, and approximate location if you share it to find nearby vets.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide and improve the Services; connect you with veterinarians and schedule consultations; process payments and subscriptions; send appointment, prescription, and follow-up notifications; personalize AI health guidance; comply with legal obligations; and prevent fraud or misuse.
3. Legal Basis and Consent
We process personal data based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time by contacting us (see Section 12). Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to provide certain Services. Sensitive health data is processed only with your explicit, informed consent.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only as necessary with: the treating veterinarian for your consultation; our payment processor (Razorpay) to process payments; WhatsApp/Meta to deliver messages; Google Calendar to schedule and manage consultation slots; cloud infrastructure and storage providers who process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations; insurance partners, only if you explicitly opt in to an insurance product; and law enforcement or regulators where required by Indian law. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Data Storage and Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal and health data only for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.
7. Your Rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction or completion of inaccurate data; request erasure of your data (subject to legal retention requirements); withdraw consent at any time; and file a grievance with our Grievance Officer (Section 12) or, if unresolved, escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Services are intended for users who are 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without verifiable parental/guardian consent.
9. Cookies and Tracking
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences and analyze usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

13. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, and courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from it.
